World Cup Group B, Argentina 4-1 South Korea, Soccer City in Johannesburg. South Korea were lead by Park Ji-sung but were easily beaten by the Argentineans with an own goal from Park Chu-young, This was soon followed by a goal from Higuain who proceeded to score a hat-trick, South korea managed to get a goal just before half-time through Lee Chung-yong, Although this may seem as a big defeat Park Ji-Sung and South Korea still have a very good chance of progressing to the knock out stages

World Cup Group B, Nigeria 2-2 South Korea, Park Ji-Sung Lead his team to a draw which was enough to se the Korean team progress through to the knock out stages of the World Cup, Although Nigeria scored first through Uche in the 12th minute it was Korea’s Lee Jung-Soo that equalised in the 38th minute, In the second half Park Chu-Young scored from a free kick to give South Korea the lead, It was a penalty that Yakubu cooly put in to the back of the net after 69 mins to make the game a draw, South Korea take on Group A winners Uruguay on Saturday.

World Cup Last 16, Uruguay 2-1 South Korea, South Korea played well in the pouring rain inside the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium but they could not beat Uruguay, The game was close with Uraguay taking an 8th minute lead before Lee Chung-yong to levelled in the 68th, The Koreans had a penalty claim turned down and came close to scoring but Luis Suarez Scored his second goal that was the match winning goal in the 80th minute to see Uruguay progress in to the quarter finals sending Park Jui-Sung and South Korea home,
